Patrick Edward Doyle was born in Parkersburg, WV on September 16, 1952. He was a talented and passionate drummer who felt fortunate to have spent his life doing what he loved. In 1972, he started his professional career in the Sons of Liberty Fife & Drum Corps at Walt Disney World. He went on to perform with the Pearly Band, which later became the Pearly Kings and Queens at Epcot. Pat recently retired from his position as the band leader of the Grand Floridian Society Orchestra. He spent 30 years with this amazing group of Disney musicians.
Seeing a need in the local entertainment industry, he founded International Talent Booking, a company dedicated to providing entertainment for local clubs and theme parks as well as producing international shows. He also performed throughout the country as the resident drummer for Jack and Sally Jenkins, Brenda Lee, and the Palm Beach Society Orchestra. Pat also served on the board and as President of the American Federation of Musicians Union Local 389.
Above his many accomplishments in the entertainment industry, Pat was a beloved member of his family and community. Quick with a good joke and a crooked smile, Pat treated everyone he met like a member of his own family. He was generous with his time, offering a helping hand to anyone who needed it over the years.
He was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He and his wife, Letitia were married 19 years and together they created a beautiful blended family of five. The most recent addition to the family is granddaughter, Emmy. “Pop Pop” loved spending time with Emmy, sharing his stories and love of music.
Patrick Edward Doyle passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 18, 2019. Pat is survived by his wife Letitia, daughter and son-in-law, Erin and Andy Cates and their daughter Emelia Cates, his step-daughter Alexa Rossi and step-son Connor Rossi, his sisters Dottie Conway, Penny Doyle Pepper, and Jackie Rogers and his nieces and nephews.
