Amelia Hernandez

December 3, 1925 — June 18, 2020

Orlando

Amelia F. Hernandez, age 94, went to be with the Lord June 18, 2020, due to complications from dementia. She was born December 3, 1925 in Cuba. Sheloped and married her sweetheart and love, Obal Alberto Hernandez, in August 1947, who preceded her in death in 2016.

Her daughters, Leisy Gonzalez and Irma Moss and their husbands Raul Gonzalez and Tony Moss; grandchildren, Ayme Becnel, Pedro Gonzalez and Jonathan Moss; plus 6 great grandchildren, Maddox, Braxton, Brooxs, Benecio, Manuel and Dietrich, survive Amelia. Her two sisters, Pastora Cruz and Felicia Bernal and four brothers, Baldomero, Omar, Concepcion, and Lolin Zamora additionally survive her; lastly, she is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Amelia was a dedicated wife and mother first and foremost. She was the rock and role model for her family. She especially loved her role as Nana and Tia. She had a vivacious personality; she had the gift of hospitality and service; she was a leader, and she was a hard worker. However, above all else, her legacy will be her love for her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and her service to Him.  Amelia Hernandez was a prayer warrior. She believed that prayer changes things. She loved the Word of God and taught it for 26 years. She lived Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.” Amelia Hernandez was greeted in heaven by the words: “Well done, good and faithful servant.” Mathew 25:23.
