In Loving Memory of Carolyn Williams Neighbors

August 27, 1936 - May 6, 2025

Carolyn Williams Neighbors, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on May 6, 2025, at the age of 88. Born on August 27, 1936, in St. Augustine, Florida, Carolyn lived a life full of joy, energy, and devotion to family.

As a child, Carolyn thrived outdoors-playing ball, riding bikes, flying her kite at the Fort. Her childhood instilled in her a lifelong love of games, hard work, and community. She attended Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia, where she earned her Associate's degree and built friendships that lasted a lifetime.

On June 23, 1957, she married the love of her life, Lowell Neighbors, in her hometown of St. Augustine. The couple began their life together in Orlando, Florida, in 1958, where they raised four daughters, Kathy Johnson (Fred), Sharon Enderlein (Don), Janet Munden (Jerry), and Robin Reynolds (Mike) and built a home filled with laughter and love. Her role as "Mama" expanded joyfully to five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, all of whom she adored and delighted in.

Carolyn had a zest for life that was contagious. Whether playing a hand of Bridge, riding roller coasters with delight, working in the yard, or diving into a board game, she brought energy and enthusiasm to everything she did. She was not only a skilled player but a joyful one, known for her competitiveness and kindness.

In 1986, Carolyn and Lowell found their mountain retreat in Blairsville, Georgia. What started as a piece of property quickly became a cherished second home. For over three decades, they split their time between Blairsville and Orlando, relishing the seasons, scenery, and simpler pace of life-until finally settling in Orlando full-time in 2021.

She was preceded in death by her dear sisters, Mildred "Millie" Fant (Julian) and Evelyn Goodrich (Levy), and carried their memory with her always.

Carolyn's legacy is one of warmth, laughter, spirited play, and unwavering devotion to family. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
