Carolyn O'Sick

Carolyn O'Sick , age 87, died Saturday, July 1, 2017 after a valiant battle with dementia and diabetes complications. Her daughter, Stacia was at her side.
She is survived by her children Mary L. Purdy of Warrensburg, NY, Alric A. Lewis of Schenectady, NY, Stacia A. Lewis of Orlando, FL, Melanie Kim LaMere, of Johnstown, NY, Stanley G. O'Sick of Glendale, AZ, William O'Sick of Yuma, AZ, Robert O'Sick of Phoenix, AZ, and Patricia O'Sick of Phoenix, AZ., as well as 18 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and many cousins, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Louis J. O'Sick, son Louis J. O'Sick, Jr., and all her siblings. Carolyn was born in Ft. Edward, NY. She was a supporting member of the Hudson Falls Volunteer Fire Department for many years and worked at U.S Catheter for a time.
She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter Days Saints, Glens Falls Ward and continued to be active in the church after moving to Phoenix, AZ. in 1978.
Carolyn loved birds; the cardinal was her favorite as well as the hummingbird. She loved children, dancing and listening to Traditional Irish music.
She was always quick with a smile that could light up a room. In the last ten years, while living with her daughter in Orlando, she could often be found at the local Irish session at the Claddagh Cottage Irish Pub.
A memorial service will take place at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL, at 6pm, on Wednesday, July 19, 2017.
