Carolyn Julia Zillante

Carolyn Julia Zillante, 72, was called home to her eternal resting place on February 4, 2026. She was born on June 22, 1953, in Danbury, Connecticut, to Stephen and Julia Holick. Carol was the eldest of four children, Stephen Holick, Joann Hannigan, and Keith Holick.

She attended Danbury schools and graduated from Danbury High School in 1971. In 1973, Carol met the love of her life, Louis Zillante. They were married on April 20, 1974, in Danbury, Connecticut, beginning a devoted marriage that spanned more than 50 years. Together, they raised three children: Artie Zillante, Danielle Zillante, and Susan Vershel.

Carol was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and auntie-but her favorite title by far was "Granny." Her grandsons, Ryan and Dylan Vershel, were her pride and joy. Family meant everything to Carol, and she cherished having everyone together, especially during the holidays.

Carol was an independent business owner who took great pride in owning and operating Carol's Jewelry in Port St. Lucie, Florida, where she built lasting relationships with customers and friends alike.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Stephen and Julia Holick, and her sister, Joann Hannigan. She is survived by her beloved husband, Louis Zillante; her children, Artie Zillante, Danielle Zillante, and Susan and Steven Vershel; her cherished grandsons, Ryan and Dylan Vershel; her nieces, Sarah Hannigan and Emily Cintron, whom she lovingly referred to as her "bonus daughters"; and her brothers, Stephen and Keith Holick.
