Darlene A. Griffin, 67, of Orlando, Florida passed away on Thursday, January 28, 2021. Darlene was born in Union City, Pennsylvania. She came to Florida as a child and spent her life in the Orlando area. She was a devoted partner, sister and aunt and is survived by her companion David Keaton, her sister and brother-in-law Noreen & Ernie Hatton, and her niece and great-nieces Dawn, Adalyn & Siena Hall.
Growing up she loved spending time with family, enjoyed swimming and the beach, and loved all of her pets. She had a fierce love of animals, especially cats and birds, and volunteered at many organizations caring for animals. Her family always told her that the animals found her because they knew she would love and care for them.
Her favorite place to vacation was Bar Harbor, Maine, where she enjoyed whale watching. She also enjoyed vacations to San Francisco, Paris, London and Colorado.
Darlene greatly loved her friends and family, and never missed an opportunity to spend time with them. Every holiday, birthday and family milestone she attended. She was incredibly generous to all and was kind and loving to every person and animal she encountered.
Because of the tremendous generosity she showed to each of us during her beautiful life, our family asks that in lieu of flowers please make a contribution in her memory to The Humane Society of the United States online at:

or by phone at 1-866-720-2676.
This will continue to help animals across the country in loving memory of Darlene.
