Deborah Boza-Valledor passed away peacefully on May 16, 2026, leaving behind an extraordinary legacy of love, leadership, service, and inspiration.
Born on July 15, 1952, in Key West, Florida, Deborah was the cherished daughter of Arthur Boza and Betty Filer. She shared a close bond with her siblings, Theresa Robles, Arthur Boza Jr., and Charlie Boza, and deeply adored her family. Deborah was a loving aunt to six nephews and one niece, and a proud great-aunt to five grandnephews and five grandnieces. Family was the center of Deborah’s world.
After earning her bachelor’s degree from the University of Florida, Deborah spent more than 35 years in South Florida as a visionary in the real estate industry. Beginning as a realtor, she rose to become a history-making Chairman of the Board for Miami Realtors and ultimately served as their Chief Operating Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Deborah helped launch more than 220 products and services, earned countless accolades, and received the Miami Realtors Lifetime Achievement Award in 2024.
Deborah embraced life with passion and style. A true fashionista, she carried herself with elegance and confidence, and she never passed up a good cup of coffee - especially if it was Starbucks! She loved traveling, photography, spreading positivity via Facebook posts, expanding her prized Beatles collection, and sharing her vast garden. She was also a proud “dog mom,” raising many beloved dogs, several of whom were specially trained to bring comfort to hospital patients.
Whether through her extraordinary career or the love she poured into her family and friends, Deborah leaves behind a legacy that will endure for generations. A celebration of Deborah’s life will be held on June 27, 2026 at TBD at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
