Deborah Jo Page Wheeler

Deborah P. Wheeler, 71, passed away on July 25, 2025, surrounded by family, after a long and courageous 6-year battle with cancer. Debbie was born on September 9, 1953 in Norfolk, VA to Charles and Barbara Maze Page. Her life as a Navy brat took her to Washington, DC, Key West, Ireland, California, and Orlando.

After graduating Lyman High School and Seminole Community College with an Associate’s Degree, Debbie embarked on a 45-year career with Sears, Roebuck in various departments in multiple locations, retiring in 2017. Debbie and Jim met at Sears in May 1979, and were married on April 8, 1994.

Debbie really enjoyed spending time at Longboat Key or any coastal beach location, worshipping her feline fur babies, and watching HGTV and Food Network programs. She was always ready for a filet mignon (La Cantina), and loved Mexican and Italian food.

She was pre-deceased by her parents, and survived by husband Jim; daughter Andrea (Marc) Gross; brother Ron (Beverly) Page; sisters Vicki (Brad) Hurd and Jackie Page. Debbie also leaves an extended family including many in-laws, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her most valued treasures are grandchildren Taylor, Emily, and Michael Gross.

In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in Debbie’s memory to your favorite animal rescue organization or the American Cancer Society.

A Memorial service is planned Friday, August 15, 2025 for 1 PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home in Orlando, followed by internment at Palm Cemetery, Winter Park.
