Denise Hayward

August 6, 1964 — December 16, 2022

Denise "Dee" Irene Hayward passed away suddenly in the afternoon of December 16, 2022 and is remembered by her husband, her son and daughter, her two grandchildren, her bunnies, and a world of friends who were better for having had her in their lives.
Dee is remembered as a truly one-of-a-kind person who is unmatched in all of our lives. She was an adventurer with a true zest for all the things that made her feel alive - concerts, roller coasters, marathons, but - most importantly - her friends and family. Dee was unapologetically, authentically exactly who she was. She was an impossibly perfect combination of quiet and loud, unassuming and fierce, practical and wild. Above all - Dee loved fiercely and entirely; anyone who had the opportunity to be loved by her had the immense honor of experiencing the force of a heart full of love. Dee had an incredible ability to learn about the things loved by the people she loved and love them with the language they would best understand. Dee was a force of nature against whom even mountains would not dare to stand still.
All death carries with it a sense of impossibility for the living, but Dee's death leaves an unfathomable hollow filled only by the knowledge that the vastness of her joyful spirit will live on in us all.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider making a donation to the House Rabbit Society in honor of Dee's desire to "save all the bunnies".
In Dee's words: love love. Give 'em hell, Mom.
