Donald Petro

Donald H. Petro, age 93, of Orlando, Florida, formerly of Reese, passed away on April 27, 2017. Don was born on June 25, 1923. He will be remembered as a great man who lived life to the fullest and loved his family.
Don proudly served in World War ll. He was employed at Universal Engineering for 44 years, retiring in 1985. Don was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Richville American Legion Post 400 and the Richville Conservation Club. Don is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Frieda B. Petro.
He is survived by his children, Darlene Jalowsky of Casselberry, Fran Beach (Cliff Payne) of Jacksonville, Donald (Terese) Petro of Reese, and Debra (Kurt) Liebknecht of Apopka; grandchildren; Aimee (Bruce) Fowler, Wayne (Caitlin) Liebknecht, Wendy Liebknecht (deceased), Kevin (Erica Jore) Liebknecht, Nathan (Cara) Pike, Megan (Keith) Edwards; great-grandchildren; Sky, Riley, Maggie, Makayla, Hoyt, Breslin and Laci. Don is also survived by a special friend, Sue Miller and a host of other relatives, friends and an ever-increasing fan base.
A viewing will take place at The Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Orlando, Florida, on Monday, May 1, from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Interment at Woodlawn Memorial Park at 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
