Dorothy Carolyn Reynolds

Dorothy Carolyn (Kline) Reynolds, 94, was called home to be with the Lord on November 13, 2023. Faith, family and service to others were the cornerstones of Dottie’s life.  A devoted and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She had an inner strength that was an inspiration to all who knew her.

Dorothy was a native Orlandoan who attended Orlando High School where she met the love of her life, F.E. “Gene” Reynolds. They married at the age of 19 and had 5 children, 14 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. After raising her five children, she worked for a time at the Primrose School for exceptional children.

Spending time with her family and friends was her favorite hobby.  She also enjoyed preparing traditional southern, home-cooked meals. She enjoyed reading, word search puzzles, classic TV shows, Hallmark movies and caring for stray cats.

Dottie is preceded in death by her husband Gene, her son Donald Reynolds and her grandsons Jake Reynolds and Sean McLeod. She is survived by her children Robert Reynolds and his wife Mary, Susan McLeod and her husband Jim, John Reynolds and his wife Kristen, James Reynolds and his wife Tamara.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 18 at 2:00 pm at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Orlando.
