Edward Matthew Martin

Edward Martin, 82, passed away peacefully on January 5, 2026, in Orlando, Florida.

Born on September 2, 1943 in New York, New York, Ed affectionately known as "Eddie" was the only son of Edward Martin and Clotilde Martin. He spent his early years in New Jersey, where he graduated from high school before proudly serving in the United States Navy from 1961-1964. During his service he was stationed in Hawaii.

Following his Military Service, Ed attended Kent State University in Ohio where he met his future wife Patricia McBride. The two married on September 10, 1966 in Hawthorne, New Jersey, and together raised 3 children, Kim, Scott, and Chad.

In the summer of 1976, Ed and his family relocated from Ohio to Orlando, Florida, a place that would become his lifelong home. Following retirement, Ed and Pat enjoyed time together at the beach, camping at state parks, watching the Pittsburgh Steelers, and sharing the quiet pleasure of reading.

Edward is survived by Patricia Martin - wife, Scott Martin - son, Kellie Martin - daughter-in-law, Kyler Martin - grandson, Kayden Martin - granddaughter, Chad Martin - son, Christy Martin -daughter-in-law, Kimberly Stillinger - daughter, Danny Stillinger - son-in-law, Joseph Selman - grandson, Eric Selman - grandson.

The service for Edward Martin will be held on January 31, at 4pm at Cary Hand Colonial Funeral Home.
