Evelyn left this earth peacefully on July 9, 2025 to be with those who preceded her in death. Those loved ones included James B Callaway (husband), James “Bo” Callaway (Son), Elinore Powers Ross (sister), and Mike Callaway (nephew). Evelyn was born and raised in Orlando, FL. She was a proud alumnus of Boone High School (Class of 1960). Evelyn married James (Jim) Callaway in summer of 1960. Evelyn’s daughter Debbie Fleri and her family presently live in Snellville, GA. Evelyn has three grandchildren with her daughter. Ashley Fleri, Ben Fleri and Chris Fleri.

Evelyn has lived in the Conway area of Orlando FL since birth. She has been a Lifetime Member of Conway United Methodist Church (now Conway Community Church). This is where she met the true love of her life, Jim Callaway. The story is told that she sat next to Jim as a 5 year old and told him that she was going to marry him…Evelyn moved to Gulfstream Harbor in 2004. She quickly immersed herself in the activities and social life offered by this community. She rose to become a Board Member of the HOA and held almost every position offered by the community.

Evelyn enjoyed traveling with friends. She also never met a cat she did not like or one she did not want to bring home.

All Services will take place on Saturday August 2, 2025. All services will be a Conway Community Church at 3401 Conway Road Orlando, FL 32812. A viewing at 10 am, Church service at 11:00 interment to follow. Light refreshments will be provided at the Family Life Center.
