Floyd Wright, Sr.

October 24, 1948 — March 6, 2017

On Monday, 6 March 2017, our loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, Floyd K. Wright, Sr., who was baptized at Canaan Baptist Church, passed away and returned home to his Heavenly Father, Mr. Floyd, as referred to by most who knew him, was 68 years young and full of life. He was a father figure, mentor, and friend to all who knew him, worked with him, for any length of time.
Floyd was born on October 24, 1948, in Covington, Tennessee to Mr. Leroy and Annie Noble Wright, where he lived until he moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to attend college at Tennessee State University. In Nashville, Tennessee, while attending college, Floyd met his spouse of 45 years, Marynell Wright, and together they built a life, a marriage, and a family. Floyd was a graduate of the University of Maryland and an honored veteran of the U.S. Army.
Floyd is survived by his wife, Marynell, his two children Kerry (Yolanda) Wright and Kimberly (Jose) Mosquito, and his grandchildren Shayla, Danielle, Devon, Kerry, Antonia, and Addison. His sister Raye (Dean) Fessette. Sister and brother by marriage, Alberta Wilson and Reverend Freeman Cooper (Alma), as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dear friend and brother, Keith Williams (Marilyn).
We will always remember your smile, your sense of humor, and the love you showed, not only for your family, but for all those who became a part of your life.
Floyd's life will be celebrated at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806. There will be a visitation from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with a funeral service to follow.
