Gerald Hosford, Jr.

Gerald Jay Hosford, Jr. of Orlando, Florida went to be with the Lord on July 9th, 2016. Passing away peacefully in his sleep.

Jerry was born in Milwaukee, WI on March 3, 1917 to Gerald and Naomi Hosford. He was predeceased by his mother and father, 5 siblings and son Richard David Hosford.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife Gloria and 7 children: Patricia West and husband Sam, Katherine Mueller and husband Mike, Gerald Hosford, III and wife Carol, Patton Connelly and wife Anna, Michael Connelly, Sr. and wife Bobbie, Robin Connelly, and Dell Nicholls.
12 Grandchildren: Coby, Joel , Adam Hosford, Christy West, Kelly West Doherty, Aaron Mueller, Frank and Sam Harris, Michael and Robert Connelly, Chris and Matt Connelly.
and 10 Great Grandchildren.

Jerry proudly served his country for 23 years in the USAF, retiring in 1960 and moving his family to Orlando, FL. He then worked for Martin Marietta retiring in 1982. Jerry and Gloria then spent years working with Campers on Missions traveling throughout the USA.
When Jerry was home he always tended to his vegetable garden supplying family and friends with Tomatoes, Bib Lettuce, Cabbage, Okra, Mustard Greens, ect. If Jerry was not in his garden his favorite hobby was fishing.

Jerry was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed.

Funeral Services will be held on July 13, 2016 al Delaney Street Baptist Church located at 1919 Delaney Ave. Orlando, FL 32806.
Service at 11:00 am with viewing beginning at 10:00 am.
Burial to following at Woodlawn Cemetery at 400 Woodlawn Cemetery Road, Gotha, FL 34734
