Glenn J. Waldroup

Orlando

Glenn Waldroup, 94, beloved Father and Papa, was called to his eternal resting place on September 10, 2023. He entered this world on August 30, 1929 in McClure, VA. He was the son of Astor and Alice Waldroup. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Jewell, 3 sisters and 2 brothers. 

Glenn, lovingly known as Papa to most, proudly served in the US Navy. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren and secretly taught each one how to be mischievous. He had an adventurous spirit and shared his love of adventure with all. He served at Conway First Baptist Church, Orlando, FL and at First Baptist Church of Brevard, Brevard, NC. He most enjoyed leading Bible study. 

Glenn is survived by two daughters, April Miller (Jeff), of Brevard, NC and Michele Stucker (Ron) of Orlando, FL, four grandsons, Jesse Miller, Joshua Miller, Andrew Stucker, and Nicholas Stucker, great-grandchildren, Chloe, Liam, Macklin, Maddie, and Sawyer, along with sisters, Janet Jones and Jodi Nunley. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Redemption Orlando's Welcome Home Campaign. 700 Good Homes Road Orlando, Florida 32818, Attn: Redemption Orlando. 

A private memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2023 at Cape Canaveral National Cemetary.
