Guillermo Alfredo "Willie" Diaz Carro

It is with profound sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Guillermo Alfredo Diaz Carro, lovingly known to family and friends as “Willie,” on July 14, 2026, at the age of 57. Born on February 12, 1969, in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Willie lived a life filled with love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to the people he cherished most.

Willie was an extraordinary son, a loving fiancé, a devoted father, a proud grandfather, a caring brother, a fun-loving uncle, a loyal friend, and a source of strength to everyone fortunate enough to know him. He had a heart that welcomed everyone, a smile that could brighten any room, and a sense of humor that created countless unforgettable memories. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer words of encouragement, or simply be there when someone needed him. His kindness, compassion, and selflessness touched countless lives and will never be forgotten.

He leaves behind his beloved fiancée, Elizabeth Taylor; his children, Mercy Diaz, Guillermo (Roxanne) Diaz, Carmendelia (Emerald Contreras) Diaz, and is reunited in heaven with his beloved daughter, Diana Diaz. He was the cherished son of Aurea Carro and the late Guillermo Diaz; a proud grandfather to Matthew, J’Manni, Preston, Sofia, and Amira; a loving brother to Javier (Samantha) Diaz, Sherley (Jose Torres) Diaz, and Maria (Frankie Rios) Diaz; a caring stepfather to Jessie Grissom and Vaughn Grissom; and a treasured uncle, nephew, cousin, and friend to many. His family was his greatest joy, and the love he gave will continue to live on through each of them.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, July 18, beginning at 4:30 p.m. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, July 25, at 2:00 p.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806. Family and friends whose lives were touched by Willie are welcome to join us as we celebrate the beautiful life he lived.

Although our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that Willie’s love, laughter, and beautiful spirit will remain with us forever. His memory will live on in every story we share, every smile he inspired, and every life he touched. He will be deeply loved, forever missed, and never forgotten. Until we meet again, you will always be in our hearts.
