On Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at 2:55 pm Humberto Enrique Silva was embraced by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Humberto began attending church in Cerro Cordillera, Valparaíso, Chile, around 1959 after being led to Christ by his close friend Enrique, with whom he shared a lifelong bond. Through the faithful prayers of his mother, Humberto experienced a true and lasting conversion, committing his life fully to Christ. He became one of the church's founding members, known for his deep faith, strong work ethic, and unwavering dedication to serving others. He also honorably served in the Chilean Armed Forces.
Guided by his faith and desire for a better life, Humberto immigrated to the United States in 1972, where he continued to live out his values of hard work, service, and devotion throughout his life. Here is where he met his wife, had his children, and established a foundation for generations to come. Lover of God, American patriotism, and the New York Yankees.
Although his physical body can no longer sustain itself here on Earth, his spirit continues to flow through the life God created for him.
His legacy has extended and multiplied in and through our family and for generations to come. Abundantly through his love and faith in God, hard work ethic, and perseverance. His love and life will forever be a reflection of God's favor and glory.
He led a life filled with compassion and humility, as was and will forever be known to all who loved and knew him dearly.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Profidia Carmen Silva, his daughters Ruth and Sabrina [Son-in-Laws: Lazaro and Josue], his sons Joseph and Albert [Daughter-in-Laws: Danielle and Jennifer], his 4 granddaughters Eliana, Emily, Arianna, and Aaliyah, his 3 grandsons Daniel, Aaron, and Matthew, and his two great grandsons Elijah and Peter.
His Celebration of Life will be held at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026. His final resting place will be at Orlando Memorial Gardens in Apopka, Florida.
