Jean Allman, loving Aunt, Sister, and Friend, went home to be with Jesus on December 2nd, 2025, at the age of ninety-one. Jean was the daughter of the late Ernest Wright and Melvina Daley Allman of Kissimmee, Florida. She was proud to be a fifth generation Floridian. As a child she could often be found playing in the trees and puddles, and being teased by her brothers, Albert and William Allman. These strong bonds, laughter, and fun-loving relationships would carry through the years until Albert's passing in 2006, and William's in 2022. Her strong faith in her Lord carried her through many ups and downs and showed in her daily life.
After a long-time career as an Administrative Assistant, Jean retired from Martin Marietta. She spent her retirement years enjoying traveling, volunteering, spending time with friends and family, various hobbies, and caring for others. She loved spending time with her great nieces and nephews, even babysitting for them over the summer while they were out of school. She often shared stories of those summers and laughed at all the mischief they caused her. Some of our favorite memories of her are centered around her love of everything Christmas. She was the champion of Day after Thanksgiving shopping, eighteen hours one year! She was truly an example of a hands of God servant, always putting the needs of others before her own. She cared for friends until her own health would no longer allow her to do so.
Jean is survived by her sister-in-law Barbara Allman; nieces, Celeste Allison (Lee), Michelle Jewett, and Brenda Basho (Chuck); nephews, Michael Allman (April), and Al Allman Jr.; and several great and great-great, nieces and nephews, a large extended family, and friends. Jean was "Aunt Jean" to many and will be missed by all who loved her.
