Obituary

Pastor José Benjamín Nina was born on February 16, 1946, in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, the eldest of eight siblings. From a very early age, he understood his calling and responded to God's call to ministry.

He studied theology at Antillean College in Mayagüez, Puerto Rico, and later earned a master's degree from Andrews University, beginning a career that spanned more than 50 years. He faithfully served as Executive Secretary and, later, President of the Dominican Central Conference of Seventh-day Adventists.

He married Ofelia Gross, and together they had two sons, José and George.

Today, his legacy and unwavering conviction in the blessed hope of Christ's return leave an indelible mark on his family, his colleagues, and the Christian community.

He is survived with love and gratitude by his wife, children, four of his siblings, daughters-in-law, grandchildren, and other relatives.

El pastor José Benjamín Nina nació el 16 de febrero de 1946 en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, siendo el mayor de ocho hermanos. desde muy temprana edad comprendió su vocación y respondió al llamado de Dios para el ministerio.

Cursó sus estudios de Teología en el Antillean College en Mayagüez, Puerto Rico y posteriormente una maestría en Andrews University, dando inicio a una trayectoria que se extendió por más de 50 años. ejerció con fidelidad y visión los cargos de Secretario Ejecutivo y, posteriormente, Presidente de la Asociación Central Dominicana de los Adventistas del Séptimo Día.

Unió su vida en matrimonio con Ofelia Gross, de cuyo vínculo nacieron sus dos hijos, José y George.

Hoy, su legado y firme convicción en la bendita esperanza del regreso de Cristo dejan una huella imborrable en su familia, sus colegas, y la hermandad creyente.

Le sobreviven con amor y gratitud: Su esposa, hijos, cuatro de sus hermanos, nueras, nietos y demás familiares.
