Kamlesh Shah passed away at age 67 on June 9, 2022, at his home surrounded by his immediate family. His life's legacy was profound in all dimensions. He devoted himself first to enriching his spirit, mind, and body. He poured love and wisdom into his family. He was an exemplary husband, father, brother, friend, mentor, and the best and most attentive grandfather two little girls could ever have. In his earlier years, he pursued and truly surpassed the "American Dream." With grit and his family by his side, he made sure St. Cloud Door Company was a success-- reaching successes very few small businesses attain. His success at St. Cloud Door Company created the foundation to fulfill his life's following purpose: JVB. He was one of the founders of Jain Vishwa Bharati Orlando and spent nearly 25 years developing a home for Jainism in our city. Through his work at JVB he mentored others, nurtured friendships and led others in establishing similar centers in their towns.
Outside of business and spirituality, Kamlesh thoroughly enjoyed his retirement. He loved using every moment to spend as he wanted, without time clocks or business obligations. He spent his weekdays as "Grandpa" playing chess, hide and seek, and cheering Asha and Shreya on to live their best lives. His weekends were filled with late card games with his friends, having brunch with his family, or escaping to spend quality time with his wife. He described life as always being "first-class" and "always having a good time." He was a true gentleman.
At the end of his life, he felt fulfilled. He manifested all of his dreams and lived life on his terms. He even chose exactly how and where he would pass. His final words of wisdom included the notion to never harm any living beings and to take care of ourselves cautiously.
He will be missed greatly, but he has prepared us to live on without his physical presence. His legacy will continue.
He is survived by his wife Avani, his sons Raja and Kunal. Daughter-in-law Nikita and granddaughters Asha and Shreya. He is also survived by his brothers, Ashok, Kirit, Naresh, Vasant, and their respective families.
