Kathleen Diane Norton was born to Hilda and Stanly Norton on the evening of March 25, 1970 in Oak Knoll Naval Hospital in Oakland, California. She passed away on July 4, 2026, at home with her loving husband, in Orlando, Florida. She was only 56 years old.

Kathy was a military child and lived in a multitude of places. She was living in Alameda, California just outside of Oakland for 9 years, from 1970 to 1978, with her mom and dad, her sister Tracey, and her brother Greg. While growing up in Alameda, she joined a Bowling League, developed a love for roller skating, and then moved to Virginia Beach when her dad was transferred to the Naval Air Station Oceana. She lived there for 3 years, from 1979 to 1981. They then moved to Fallon, Nevada and lived there for 3 years while he was stationed at the Fallon Naval Air Station, from 1982 to 1985, and there she joined a speed skating team! Then she ended up moving to Kissimmee, Florida, graduated, and in 1991 she got a job at Fat Boy’s BBQ Restaurant, where she served tables alongside her mother and that’s where she ended up being offered a job to become an electrician, and she said yes! She started out at Cross Electric, then went to Terry’s Electric, where she met her future Husband-to-be, Paul Flemings. They worked together for 2 years before she switched to Tri-City Electric, and then on to Palmer Electric, where she would make it to Project Manager and end up finishing her career off with her work family and colleagues. She was extremely hard-working, dedicated and loyal, working there for 32 years. She was well respected and looked to as a leader in her field and was very proud when she obtained her Electrical License in Orange County. During this time, she also became a devoted mother and loving wife, growing her family with love and kindness, raising 2 beautiful children, Amy and Ian Flemings. She married the love of her life, Paul Flemings, on Valentine’s Day in the year 2000, on the jedi of the sandy beaches of Clearwater, Florida, surrounded by family and friends. They were together for 34 beautiful years and happily married for 26 years. As a family, they moved from Kissimmee to Azalea Park in Orlando, Florida, and then found their forever home in Union Park of Orlando, Florida in 2001.

Kathy enjoyed traveling, going to the beaches, canoeing, riding bicycles, taking rides on the motorcycle with her husband, attending rock and heavy metal music festivals and concerts with her family, watching movies and shows on TV, playing computer games, reading novels, walking her dog, cooking, being a wife and a mother, singing, living and having a great time!

Her favorite colors were Pink and Blue. She loved all animals but loved dogs the most. She loved football and was a Pittsburgh Steelers fan and a UCF Knights fan. She loved fireworks and the big display shows her husband would organize. She loved the USA and being an American! She believed in God and had a Christian Faith.

She loved all kinds of music including Rock N’ Roll, Heavy Metal, Country, Blues, and the occasional Pop and Rap that her daughter made her listen to on the radio. She loved all genres of movies, including Action, Adventure, Westerns, History, Documentaries, Sci-Fi, Fantasy, Thrillers, Dramas, Comedies, and Classic Black & White films, but her FAVORITE MOVIE OF ALL TIME was The Wizard of Oz!

She is survived by her Husband, Paul Flemings, her daughter, Amy Flemings, her son, Ian Flemings, her Mother, Hilda Norton, her sister, Tracey Moore, and her Dog, Fernando. Her deceased family include her Father, Stanly Norton, and her brother, Greg Norton.

Funeral services will be held to honor the life and legacy of Kathy Flemings, on November 14, 2026, at the Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, located at 2811 Curry Ford Road, in Orlando, Florida. The time for gathering of friends will be at 11:30am, with the Service starting at Noon. Friends and family are encouraged to come and celebrate the life of a wonderful woman, that lived a beautiful life and was taken much too soon!
