Igou McLeod, Lucy R. 92, died at home peacefully on Monday, October 20, 2014. She was born in Sanford, FL in 1921, and graduated from Seminole High School and Florida State College for Women now FSU, where she was a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority and received a bachelors degree in Education. She was a member of St James Cathedral, The Junior League of Orlando and past president of The Rosalind Club. She is survived by daughters Lucia McLeod, Laguna Niguel, CA Lamar Spalding David of Orlando sons Bonner of Sumterville John Kim of Orlando Jim Susie of Sumterville and Scott of Orlando five grandchildren, seven greatgrandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was married to L.B. McLeod, Jr. for 52 years and later to Phillip N. Igou, for the past 6 years. Her beloved youngest grandson Sean died in 2011. Lucy loved dancing, traveling, playing bridge and above all her family. Visitation will be held Thursday 57PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando with Family Rosary at 7PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30AM at St. James Cathedral, 215 N. Orange Avenue, Orlando. Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery. Donations in her memory can be made to St. James Cathedral or Vitas Hospice Care.
