Margaret Jane Dunn Woolington,100, passed away peacefully on Monday 26th 2024 after a short illness to be with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Margaret was born on October 17th, 1923, in Joliet Illinois to Frederick Dunn and Cloa Delle Peters Dunn.
Margaret was married to John Gifford Woolington on February 14, 1947 in Champaign-Urbana, Illinois. They moved to New York and then shortly thereafter to Miami, Florida. John preceded Margaret in death on August 2, 2007.
Margaret was a homemaker and an active member and president of the Miami Springs Art Guild in the 1950's. Later she and the family moved to Orlando, Florida in 1960 where she pursued her art and was in the Winter Park Art Festival in the early years. She later became a published writer of children's books and a proofreader for Diocesan Publications.
Margaret was loved and a blessing to all who knew her and was very active as a counselor at St Luke's Cathedral, Orlando, Church of the Good Shepherd, Mailand, Christ the King, Orlando and University Carillon, Oviedo.
Margaret is survived by her children Kathryn Homan, Mark Woolington, Jim Woolington (Teresa). Grandchildren Erin S. Clifford (William), Britney Woolington, Alex Woolington. Great grandchildren Harlow Logsdon and Karissa Russell.
