Martha Shelton

Martha Ann Shelton, age 91, passed away peacefully June 5, 2020. She was born June 7, 1928 to Albert Seltzer and Ethel Darby in Birmingham, Alabama.  She was married to Henry Dale Shelton, Jr.

Martha attended Woodlawn High School in Birmingham, Alabama.  She worked for Loveman’s Department Store as a young woman.  Her beauty earned her runner up in the Loveman’s Beauty Pageant.

In 1961, the family moved to Orlando, Florida.  Martha worked as an Office Manager and in the accounting profession at Orange County.

Martha was a devoted mother and raised her children to be fine upstanding people.  She was artistic with a great love for music.  Her sense of humor along with her beautiful smile will never be forgotten.

Martha is survived by her children Dale (Karen), Janet (Ken) and Mark (Tammy), 5 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her brother A.D.  Darby of Birmingham, Alabama.

A celebration of Martha’s Life will be held June 9th at Colonial Funeral Home with visitation at 10:00 A.M. and the service at 11:00 A.M.  Final Resting Place will be at Woodlawn Memorial Park.
