Nick Cominos
January 16, 1947 - April 26, 2025
Born on January 16, 1947, in Hempstead, New York, to John and Mary Cominos, Nick lived a full life rooted in service, family, and generosity.
From a young age, Nick loved aviation, proudly earning his private pilot's license as a teenager. His passion for service led him to a long and distinguished career in law enforcement. Nick served with dedication as a Deputy Sheriff for the Orange County Sheriff's Office in Orlando, Florida, where he retired after many years of honorable service. Later, he continued his commitment to public safety as a Major with the Putnam County Sheriff's Office in Cookeville, Tennessee, retiring fully after a fulfilling career.
Nick's greatest joys came from time spent with family, playing poker, and giving thoughtful gifts to those he loved. His generous spirit and love language of gift-giving left lasting memories with everyone who knew him. He is survived by his sister, Connie; brother-in-law, Ernie; nephew, Anthony; and niece, Joanna; and his four great nieces and nephews, Kayla, Ashlyn, Dylan, and Connor.
Nick will be remembered for his quick wit, kind heart, and the deep pride he took in the life he built. His legacy of service and love continues through his family and the countless lives he touched.
