Pablo Estabalaya passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, at the age of 96. He went home to the Lord surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy rooted in service, family, and unwavering faith.
Born on June 14, 1929, in Igbaras, Iloilo, Philippines, Pablo lived a life defined by devotion and compassion. He was a loving and devoted husband who cherished his wife deeply, and his family was the center of his world. He took immense pride in his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, whose lives were forever shaped by his guidance and example.
Pablo earned a degree in Elementary Education from the University of Santo Tomas, an achievement he regarded with great pride. His professional life reflected his commitment to helping others. He served as an Orthopedic Technician at the University of California, San Francisco, where he was respected for his expertise, dedication, and kindness.
A natural leader, Pablo was deeply involved in his community. He actively participated in numerous organizations, including the Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, the Legion of Mary, the Filipino Association, Chess Club, and Charismatic Groups. He also found joy in arts and crafts and in mentoring young people, always striving to guide and uplift those around him.
Pablo will be remembered as kind, selfless, faithful, and generous with his time and care. He had a special heart for those in need and lived his life with humility and quiet strength. His legacy is one of unconditional love and service to others.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Soledad Flores Estabalaya, who passed away in 2007, as well as Casimira Nazario, Jovia Ellone, Silverio Estabalaya, Floriana Estabalaya, Ana Erfe, Bienvenido Estabalaya, Visitacion Escanlar, and Antonio Estabalaya.
Pablo is survived by his beloved family, including his children Exsimpaul “Paul” and Marisa; grandchildren Paul James, Chelsea, Shayne, and Joshua; great-grandchildren Jaden, Leilani, Arabella, Averie, Nolan, and Scarlett; along with many extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home 2811 Curry Ford Road Orlando, Florida 32806
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Isaac Jogues Catholic Church 4301 S. Chickasaw Trail Orlando, Florida 32829
Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, Florida.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in memory of Pablo Estabalaya to Aster Study Center, Inc., a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and community service.
