Born in Co Longford, Southern Ireland, to Jack and Nora Briody, she was the oldest of three girls (Pam, Moyra and Jean-Ann). Pam and her two sisters became international entertainers and professional singers/dancers after studying at “The Green” College in Dublin and the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London.
Pam never lost her beautiful Irish brogue and was renowned for her St. Patrick’s Day celebrations, her vivacious spirit, her big hats, her joy in life and love for people. Pam never met a stranger and her living room wall was covered with autographed pictures of famous people she had worked with. While performing on the RMS Queen Mary, when the ship docked in Bermuda she met the love of her life, Danny Dillon, an accomplished comedian/impressionist. They were entertainers for decades which included Pam’s “gig” at Disney for 22 years. Pam was the headliner singer/pianist/entertainer at Epcot’s Rose and Crown Pub and amassed a huge following of fans. The picture here is from one of her performances at Epcot. Pam, a devout Catholic, regularly attended mass at St. James Cathedral for many years.
Pam will be greatly missed by all the lives she touched. She is predeceased by her parents, her sister Moyra Briody and her husband, Danny Dillon and is survived by her sister, Jean-Ann Page who would like to leave this quote for you- “With life as short as half-taken breath, don’t plant anything but love.” Pam would have agreed!
In lieu of flowers, Pam requested that donations to St. James Cathedral be made in she and Danny’s memory.
