Richard Miller Henderson, 91, passed away on October 2, 2023, in Orlando, FL, with his loving family by his side.
Richard was born on October 29, 1931 in Tampa, FL as the youngest of two children to Dr. Robert P. Henderson and Julia (Miller) Henderson. Richard graduated from Seabreeze High School in Daytona FL, in 1948, and also served in the United States Marine Corps from 1950 - 1953. Richard went on to earn a BA in Economics and was a member of the SAE fraternity at Florida Southern College in 1956. He started his career at the International Harvester/Navistar Corporation as Orlando's first Commercial Fleet Sales Manager in 1963 and went on to work for International Harvester/Navistar Corporation for over 30 years. He was recognized for executive sales excellence by achieving over one million dollars in sales in 1972-1975, over five million in sales in 1985-1986, and over ten million in sales from 1987-1990. For the duration of his sales career at International Harvester/Navistar, Richard was responsible for over 75 million dollars in total sales. 
Richard married his college sweetheart, Alyce (Gray) Henderson on August 12, 1956 in Tampa, FL. The couple had 2 children, Hays Henderson, of Stuart FL and Bo Henderson, (Deceased). Richard gave back to the community as a member of the Bahia Shriners Master Mason Community Lodge 92 of Tampa FL, as a leader of the Pinecastle United Methodist Church Senior MYF, and was an active Life Member of the South Orlando Kiwanis Club, serving as club president from 1971-1972. Richard was also an avid golfer playing to a ten handicap. In 2007 he scored a hole in one at Rio Pinar CC at the age of 75.

Richard is survived by his spouse of 67 years Alyce Henderson, of Orlando, Hays Henderson - son and Cheryl Henderson - daughter-in-law, of Stuart FL.
Richard is preceded in death by Dr. Robert Henderson - father, Julia Henderson - mother, and Robert P Henderson III - brother.

No service for Richard Henderson has been scheduled at this time.
Burial is at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL.
