Robert Boone

Robert Daniel Boone, 72, died on Tuesday, December 2, 2014. Born in Orlando, FL, to Cecil and Annie Mae Boone, he attended Boone High School and graduated in 1960. He married his only sweetheart, Joe Ellen Lesh in 1961. He lived in Orlando all of his life and opened Boone Sign Company in 1967 with his father and brother. The company remained open until 2010. He was a member of Monterey Baptist Church since 1973, where he faithfully served God and instilled in his family the importance of trusting in Christ and living their lives to please Him. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather, and will leave a great void in their lives, but they rejoice to know that they will meet him again in Heaven one day. He will be especially remembered for the love he had for his family and friends, his strong faith in God, his overwhelming generosity, and ability to make others laugh. Survivors include his wife Joe Ellen daughters Sheila SteveKirkland, Cheryl Randy Arnold grandchildren Kelli Matt Helle, Jared Kirkland, Bryn McGhee, and Kasey and Robert Arnold great grandchildren Emma and Blake Helle silblings Maeo Kelley and Rose Hancock and countless nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Buddy Boone. A viewing will be held on Friday, December 5, 2014, 6pm8pm, at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, FL. 4078982561. Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 6, at Monterey Baptist Church, 5401 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Fl., with a graveside committal at Glen Haven Memorial Gardens in Winter Park.
