Robert C. Showalter passed away January 22, 2021. Known by many as “Bob” or “Bobby.” Bob was born in Harrisonburg, Virginia on June 19, 1953. He graduated from Turner Ashby High School and James Madison University.
Bob moved to Orlando in 1976. He had a 30-year career with Phillip Morris. Many co-workers became lifelong friends. He looked forward to and enjoyed outings with these friends. He was loved and respected by everyone he met for his easy going, accepting, kind, and selfless personality. He never had a negative thing to say about anyone, ever.
Bob loved all things outdoors including weather, nature, yard work, wildlife and fishing. He was also a huge Orlando Magic basketball fan.
After retirement Bob moved to Kissimmee, Florida in his dream lake house with girl friend Marilyn Melo-Cadiz. He most enjoyed his time in “Sunset Park.”
Bob is proceeded in death by his father, Robert Eagle Showalter and survived by his mother, Joyce Richards; stepfather, Wayne Richards; daughter, Molly Ann Crumb; son, Robert C. Showalter Jr.; granddaughter, Gracie Rain Showalter; son in law, Chris Crumb; daughter in law, Natalie Showalter; and girlfriend Marylin Melo-Cadiz.

A Graveside Service will be held Friday, January 29, 2021 2PM at Greenwood Cemetery, Orlando, FL. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 28, 2021 from 6-8PM in the CAREY HAND COLONIAL FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL.
