Roger Francis Lambert

June 14, 1951 — March 2, 2026

Roger Francis Lambert, born June 14, 1951, in Athens, Greece, passed away peacefully leaving behind a lifetime of adventure, friendship, and quiet accomplishment. He will be remembered for his love of good company, a good beer shared with friends, and the simple pleasures of life.

Roger was an accomplished engineer who dedicated 40 years of service to AUTEC, where he worked in the Marine, Launch and Recovery, and Shipyard divisions. His work reflected the skill, discipline, and problem-solving ability that defined much of his life.

Outside of his career, Roger had a deep love for the sea and for travel. An avid sailor who navigated the waters of Florida and the Bahamas, he found great peace on the open water. He loved to cruise across the Atlantic, and around the United Kingdom, Norway, the Netherlands. Roger made many memorable trips to Costa Rica, and later in life, he made his homes in Melbourne and Orlando, Florida where he enjoyed riding motorcycles and being with his family and faithful dog, Bennie.

Roger is survived by his wife, Jeanette Lambert; his son, Michael Lambert; his brother Chris Lambert, his stepchildren, Chelsea Copley and Jonathan Dressler; and his grandsons, Elijah Lambert, Mateo Lambert and Dean Copley. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A Celebration of Life will be held in late April to honor Roger and the many memories he leaves behind.
