Ronald Peterson

November 7, 1939 — December 15, 2022

Our beloved Husband, Father, "Opa" and brother Ron Peterson passed away on 12/15/22 peacefully during the night.  While for years we got used to losing him on a temporary basis to 'tax season' we know that this time there is no tax return due date that will bring him back to us.  While we greatly grieve our loss we celebrate how much he blessed and poured into our lives.  In auditing through this life we find a faithful husband of over 54 years and a great earthly father who provided for and protected his family.

We remember his sly sense of humor and unobtrusive calm delivery that would often remind us of Bob Newhart.   We remember a shy man braving the cold waters of Sanlando Springs to swim out to the floating raft to meet the bathing beauty who would become his wife.  We remember the architect in him designing and then building a very impressive play fort in the backyard for his kids.  We remember numerous family vacations and homework help for the kids as well as Indian Guide and Indian Princesses excursions.  We remember the beach stays where he no doubt could be found out of the sun enjoying a book on the condo balcony.  We remember how he gave his talent and treasure to the church and other charitable organizations over the years while working hard as a CPA to support his family.  We fondly remember the calls to home during his professional career to ask what was for dinner and if dinner was STILL at 6:30.  Dinner was ALWAYS at 6:30 and NEVER late so this was a cute "routine" call just to hear a loved one's voice.  We remember special one-on-one father/daughter breakfast dates and father/son sporting and concert event excursions.  We remember after the move to Westminster Winter Park his volunteer work in the library and mail room where he met many new friends.

Our feeling of loss is great and he will never be replaced but we are so grateful that God placed him in our lives and gave us so many years with him.
