Shaila Laureano Lowery, 43, of Orlando, Florida, passed away peacefully on the morning of Sunday, July 6, 2025. She was called home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Born on January 25, 1982, in Hartford, Connecticut, Shaila was the third of five children born to Angel Mario Laureano and Elizabeth Laureano. She was raised in a loving Christian home and was dedicated to the Lord as a child by Reverend José Manuel Rodríguez at Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal in Hartford. Her early commitment to faith laid the foundation for a life spent serving others with love, strength, and devotion.

Throughout her life, Shaila was deeply involved in church ministry. She served in the children’s ministry at Iglesia Cristiana Pentecostal, and later joined the Missionettes in Templo Ebenezer Orlando, Fl, then the youth choir, and step team at Iglesia Betel. At Crossover Church, she was a member of the worship team and women ministry. She also found a strong sisterhood in the women’s ministry “Metamorphosis,” where she grew spiritually alongside fellow women of faith.

Shaila had a deep heart for outreach and spent much of her time volunteering with various organizations to feed the homeless and support her community. Her commitment to service extended into her career, where she worked passionately as an administrator at the Boys & Girls Club and the Neighborhood Center for Families. She also served as a social worker at the Head Start Program and Aspire Health Partners, blessing every client she encountered with her kindness and compassion.

She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida and was an ordained chaplain with The Great Commission International.

Shaila was a devoted wife to Reginal Benard Lowery Jr., and a loving mother to her two children, Shailiana Mari and Jashia Raheem, who were the light of her life. Her family was her joy, and she loved them with all her heart and soul.

Shaila will be remembered as a strong, passionate, and generous woman who walked boldly in her faith. She was known for her honesty, compassion, and her unwavering love for God. Her vibrant spirit left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband, Reginald Lowery Jr.; her children, Shailiana Mari and Jashia Raheem; her mother, Elizabeth Laureano; her siblings, Damaris, Arline, and Angel Bryan; and her beloved nieces and nephews: Lissenia, Jermy, Jabez, Jaylin, Nickael, Janzel, and Keliel.

Shaila’s light will continue to shine in the lives she touched. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
