Shirley Daiger

Winter Park

Shirley A. Daiger died on November 14, 2020.  She was born in New York City and moved to Winter Park, Florida in 1976.  She attended Green Vale School and graduated from Garrison Forest School and Vassar College.  She was an active member of All Saints Episcopal Church; The English-Speaking Union; Morse Museum Associates; Orlando Museum of Art; and The Women of the Moose. She enjoyed ballroom dancing, playing the piano and reading.

Survivors include one son: M. Bruce Daiger; three grandchilden, Brittainy C. Daiger, Kelly A. Daiger and Brett B. Daiger; one daughter-in-law, Carole M. Daiger; one former daughter-in-law, Kim L. Daiger; and four nephews, Frederick Knowlton, Jeffery Aldrich, Edward Aldrich and Brian Aldrich. Her parents, Malcolm P. and Ella B. Aldrich; her sister, Joan A. Knowlton; her brother, Malcolm P. Aldrich, Jr.; and her first son, Peter W. Daiger, all pre-deceased her.

There will be no memorial service.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to The Mayflower Retirement Center (1620 Mayflower Court, Winter Park, FL  32792) or All Saints Episcopal Church, 338 E. Lyman Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789.
