Soraya Blackman, beloved sister, daughter, mother, and esteemed pediatric, hospice and military nurse, departed from this world on September 15th, 2023, leaving behind a legacy of compassion and kindness. Born on March 27th, 1961, in the vibrant landscapes of Puerto Rico, Soraya's journey through life was marked by dedication, love, and a profound sense of duty.
Soraya's career as a nurse was a testament to her unwavering commitment to the well-being of others. With a nurturing spirit and gentle touch, she provided comfort and care to countless children and their families. Her compassion knew no bounds, and she approached each day with a radiant smile that brought solace to those in need.
A woman of extraordinary strength and resilience, Soraya also served in the army as a combat nurse, demonstrating her dedication to service and duty. Her willingness to go above and beyond for her country and fellow citizens showcased her courage and selflessness. Soraya's impact reached far and wide, touching the lives of many within the military community.

Soraya Blackman is survived by her daughter, Yasmin Blackman, her siblings, Frances Hernadez and Ricardo Rivera. Though she may no longer be with us in the physical sense, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her boundless love and kindness.
