Eustis, FL, and Bangor, Maine - Terrance Thompson Noyes, 69, died October 29, 2025, after a long battle with kidney cancer. Terry was born in Bangor on September 14, 1956, the son of Lowell Gene and Frances (Currier) Noyes.
He was proudly raised by his father, Gene Noyes and the only mother he ever knew, Natalie Noyes. Terry grew up on Fruit Street, in the house his Dad built, with his brothers and sister and attended Bangor schools. He worked as an auto mechanic for most of his life and was outstanding at his craft. After moving to Florida, Terry went to work for the CSX Railroad. From a very young age he was obsessed with all things trains. Needless to say, this was a dream come true for him. He also worked at a local welding shop for his good friend, John. A devastating diagnosis of kidney cancer and surgery to remove a cancerous brain tumor in 2019 forced him into an early retirement.
Terry was an avid collector of model trains. His knowledge of the craft and his attention to detail lent itself to some of the most beautiful and realistic layouts. Terry will be remembered for his fun-loving, wild, crazy personality, his ability to replicate any sound imaginable with perfection and for the love for his cats. He left so many memories for us all to remember him by.
He is survived by his fiancée, Jody Allen of Florida; his daughter, Corissa Bither and granddaughter, Eowyn Avery, of Bangor; sister, Melinda Pasciuta and her husband, Frank, of Belle Isle, Florida; brothers, Frank Noyes Sr. and his wife, Lynne, of Bangor, and William "Bill" Noyes of Old Town; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Terry was predeceased by his parents; a brother, Glen Noyes Sr.; and a niece, Jamie Rice.
A memorial service is planned for early summer 2026 in Maine. Those who wish to remember Terry in a special way may donate to your local animal shelter.
