Vaughn Luten

Vaughn L. Luten, 69, went to be with his Lord, Tuesday, October 4, 2016. A native Floridian, born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida to Henry Alney Luten and Ovedia (Whitman) Luten on October 4, 1947. He served his country in the United States Marines Corps and was a member of the Central Church of Christ. He is survived by his Brothers Jeff (Paula) Luten of Jacksonville, Florida and Kenneth of North Carolina and Step Daughter Jo Anne Brackett of Oak Hill, Florida. Vaughn was preceded in death by his Parents, Brother Hank and his beloved Wife Florence who passed earlier this year, May 15th.
A Gathering of Friends is scheduled for Saturday, October 15th from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 Curry Ford Road, Orlando, Florida 32806. A Celebration of Life will immediately follow the gathering beginning at 2:00 PM with Pastor Mark Knowles officiating. Vaughn's final place or rest will be with his comrades in arms at Florida National Cemetery, at Bushnell, Florida at a later date with military honors from the United States Marine Corps.
