Virginia Triscari, age 99, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026.
She was born on April 24, 1927, in Jamestown, New York, to parents who immigrated from Sicily. She was one of four children in a close-knit Italian family.
Virginia shared a long and loving marriage of over 60 years with her husband, Basil Triscari. Together, they built a life centered on devotion, family, and simple joys. They loved dancing, bowling, and staying active with friends and loved ones throughout the years.
A deeply faithful woman, Virginia was a devoted member of the Catholic Church. She attended Mass regularly and prayed the rosary daily, living her faith with quiet strength and consistency.
She was a loving mother to her two children: her son, Sebastian, born in 1954, who preceded her in death in 2025; and her daughter, Maria, born in 1961. In her later years, Virginia lived in Orlando, Florida, with her daughter Maria and son-in-law John, who cared for her lovingly during the final five years of her life.
Virginia had a passion for cooking and baking. She was especially known for her homemade Italian bread, as well as her cakes and cookies, which brought joy to everyone who gathered around her table.
She is survived by her daughter Maria and son-in-law John; her grandchildren, Krystal, Krystal’s husband Joel, her grandson Basil Joseph, and Basil’s wife Liz; her cherished great-grandchildren, Maxwell and Sebastian, her sister, Sister Rose Therese of Williamsville New York, and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Virginia will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her devotion to family, and the warmth she brought into every home she touched.
A Mass for Virginia will be held Thursday May 7, 2026 at Holy Family Catholic Church.
