Vivian Fotieo

June 15, 1935 — December 5, 2025

Vivian Colivas Fotieo, 90, of Orlando, entered into eternal rest December 5, 2025. She is predeceased by her parents Louis Michael Colivas and Lillian Christakos Colivas and her loving husband of 60 years, George. She is survived by her children Dr. Gregory Fotieo (Dana) of Albuquerque, NM, Lianna Fotieo (Richard Chuilli) of Orlando, Georgia "Gigi" Fotieo (Chad Allman) of Orlando, and grandchildren Nicholas, Kirsten, Alex and Ryan.

Vivian was born June 15, 1935, in Keene, NH. Vivian was proud of her small town roots and was proud to take her family on a final trip to her hometown in recent years. Although an only child, Vivian never met a stranger. She easily made lifelong friends and had a circle of 50 first cousins. She spent one year of high school at the Anglo-American high school in Athens, Greece. After a year at Vassar College, she earned her Bachelor of Arts in Speech and English from Elmira College in 1957.

After college, while living in Poughkeepsie, NY, Vivian was introduced to her future husband, George. After a brief engagement, they were married in 1962 at Kimisis Greek Orthodox Church in Poughkeepsie. Soon after, they moved to Orlando for George's job with Martin Marietta. They welcomed three children and built their home in 1972 on Lake Conway where the family built wonderful memories. Vivian loved to cook and had every Greek recipe book, but each recipe was lovingly tweaked with little changes in her signature handwriting. She loved to cook for Sunday family dinners and always welcomed others to the table.

Vivian and her husband were founding members of the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Orlando where Vivian proudly served as the church choir organist and was also very involved with Greek Fest, Ladies Philoptochos Society, and Society of Wisdom.

Vivian was always present at her children's piano and dance recitals, cheering at little league games, basketball games, and tennis matches. She loved being the carpool mom and welcomed all the kids in the neighborhood into her home. Vivian embraced her Greek heritage with pride, lovingly passing its traditions down to her children and grandchildren. She was proudly left-handed and completed every New York Times crossword puzzle in ink- never pencil. Vivian and George shared a love of travel, exploring the US and abroad. Approaching every day with genuine enthusiasm for life, she will be so sorely missed by all that loved her. May her Memory be Eternal.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to her dedicated caregiver, Consuelo, along with the staff at Bridgeport Senior Living. Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Greater Orlando, 1217 Trinity Woods Lane, Maitland, FL 32751.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11 at 9:30am at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 1217 Trinity Woods Lane, Maitland, Florida. The funeral service will follow at 10am and interment will be at Greenwood Cemetery, 1603 Greenwood St., Orlando. A lunch reception will follow in the Agape Ballroom at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church.
