William Dawson Sr.

William Lee Dawson Sr., of Orlando, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on January 5, 2023.
He was born on July 31, 1939 in Port Saint Joe, Florida, the son of the late Richard and Elise (Pitts) Dawson. He worked with Bob Hester and Skip Wilson at ABC Fruit Company for over 30 years. Afterwards, he opened ABC Citrus. He was a buyer, grower and broker of citrus for a number of years. He loved hunting, fishing, boating and water skiing.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Elizabeth (Blume) Dawson of Orlando, one son, Bill Dawson (Kim) of Orlando, one daughter, Jessica Dawson of Orlando, two grandchildren; William "Lee" Dawson III and Katherine Sue "Katie" Dawson, one brother, Dick Dawson, several nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home, 2811 East Curry Ford Rd, Orlando. A reception will immediately follow the service, also at the funeral home.
