William Douglas

William John Douglas died unexpectedly on July 21st, 2017 in Orlando, FL at the age of 58.

Bill is survived by His wife, Susan; Children Suzanne, Kimberly & William Jr.: Step Children Clinton, Phillip & Charmain; Grandchildren Cheyenne, Kylee, Colin & Savannah.

Bill was born on February 5th, 1959 in Wilmington, Delaware to James Charles Douglas, Sr. & Betty Douglas. Bill graduated from UCF with a Master's degree in Instructional Technology.

Bill was a reserved gentle person who loved his family, especially his grandchildren. He had a passion for building and a strong determination to figure things out. As a self -proclaimed Trekkie, who loved all things science fiction, he never missed an opportunity to explore new endeavors. He always had a creative solution for a problem, for better or worse, but it was his imagination that made everything fun and adventurous. His grandchildren would describe him as friendly, smart, caring and positive. It is these qualities that he has instilled in them, and through them, his legacy will go on.

A funeral is scheduled for 10am Thursday, July 27th at Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home. Rev. Carpenter will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bill's life. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to The American Heart Association.
