Obituary For Ruth Marie McAlear

Ruth Marie McAlear, age 92, passed away peacefully November 16, 2020. She was born in 1927 in Buffalo, New York.  She married her longtime friend and love, Daniel McAlear in 1948, who preceded her in death in 1980.

Ruth devoted her early adult life to her family of five kids. For many years Ruth worked to assist with the family financial needs until she retired and relocated to Branson Missouri.  Her call to Branson stemmed from her growing commitment to following God’s leaning.  Her many hours in His service typically revolved around prayer.  That same leaning eventually brought her home to her family in Florida, when a special needs grandchild called for some extra-devoted support.

Her life was a living example of her favorite Bible verse, Ephesians 6:10-12 — “Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of His might.  Put on the full armor of God, that you may be able stand against the schemes of the devil.  For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness, in the heavenly places.””

Ruth is survived by her two sisters Ellen Doerflein and Mary Newman; her four sons and their wives David and Judy McAlear, William and Ann McAlear, Daniel and Diane McAlear, Jeffrey and Debbie McAlear and Her daughter and husband, Jerry and Carol Vach; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Joel Vach, James and Samuel McAlear, Theresa Mullins, Mary McAlear, Debbie Robinson, Suzanne Cardona, Carolyn Sorrell, Genevieve McAlear, Carla McRae, Casey McAlear; great grandchildren, Jeremy, Joshua, Justin, Kaitlyn, Joseph Vach, Morgan McAlear, Megan Mullins, Cole, Becket, and Harper Robinson, Kurt and Diana Cardona, Lillian and August Sorrell, Mason, Jackson, and Alaina McRae, Jordan and Baker McAlear, and her many nephews and nieces. All of who she loved, supported and touched deeply.

Due to Covid concerns, a service will be scheduled once restrictions provide for a safe alternative.
