Ruth H. Oberender passed away peacefully at Halifax Hospice in Port Orange, FL on January 4, 2022, at the age of 95. Born to the late Stanford & Pearl Pennington on May 13, 1926, in the little coal mining town of Benbush, West Virginia. She is survived by daughters, Becky Anzalone (Chris), Patty Hesser (Ed), Valerie Hill (Cindy), Susan Oberender, Judy Oberender, Sons, Jimmy Hill, William Oberender and Paul Oberender (Louise), 8 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

Her career consisted of working at Martin Marietta as a printing press operator during WWII and had security clearance, the Clock shop at Disney World, and in receiving at Eckerds. No matter what she was doing, she had a great work ethic. She loved volunteer work and taking care of others, including members of her own family. She went back to Baltimore for five years to care for a brother and sister as they struggled with health issues. She was a Godly woman and very involved in her church. Her greatest love was for her family. She loved doing things for others & having her close friends for dinner. She had a great laugh, loved Jesus, and was generous with all that she had. She survived 2 husbands and many life challenges, but she always walked in faith and put others first.
